THE MACKENNA SAGA — BOOK TWO
What if you awoke from a quarter century of enforced sleep to find that someone wants you dead?
Unjustly convicted of the brutal murders his wife and father, the trial judge orders Kalen MacKenna placed in cold-stasis for twenty five years instead of imposing the death penalty. He awakens to a world changed beyond anything he could have imagined. Kalen’s world now has a largely female population, and the birth of a male child though not rare is still a welcomed event.
While he recovers from the effects of cold-stasis an attempt is made on his life, and then a second attempt shortly after his release. With someone wanting him dead, Kalen finds he is alone in the midst of a struggle that he must win or face his own death and the destruction of the Arrisian male population. Along the way he will find people who still believe him guilty of murder and want revenge. A piece of family history never reveled to him. A family willing to risk all to help him, and old wounds of these forgotten friends he must heal. Hidden among all these secrets is a prophecy made months before his birth, foretelling the events of his life.
But on a world as technologically advanced as his, where man controls the very environment of his world, who would believe a prophecy? A prophecy made by a woman who didn’t believe it herself, and kept it secret for almost forty years.
The Governing Quorum and Mining Consortiums do.
Kalen and the Arrisians had better.

Beyond The City Lights

Author Sue Rainey’s heart wrenching true account of their family’s loss of their son Mike in the city that never sleeps.
AS TIME PASSED
… the city light offered little comfort or joy, especially on those cold, dark nights. To gaze at them inflicted us with grief and instilled in us a perpetual state of fear for our sons life. Once intriguing, comforting, the light now seemed cold and uninviting whenever I caught a glimpse of the strip from the freeway while I was en route to some destination. It was disheartening for Ken, too, as he drove up and down the city streets hoping to spot Mike standing on a corner or sitting at a bus stop in the heart of town.
The strobe effect of the brightly colored signs hinted at a madness that made my scalp prickle, a feeling of impending doom lurking in every shadow cast by them, reminders of how ruthless street life can be.

A young woman is released from a New York State prison, determined to get revenge against the man she believes is responsible for her mother’s murder. The question is: can she stay alive long enough to do it?
Mandy Connors is fresh out of prison after serving three years on a drug conviction. She had one thing on her mind as the gates closed behind her: revenge. She is determined to see justice come to the man responsible for the death of her mother, either within or outside of the law.
She has two major problems, however. The drug dealer she turned in to get a plea deal has vowed to see her dead. And the target of her wrath will go to any lengths to stay out of jail; including murder.
Against these odds, Mandy Connors begins her quest for justice. Is she tough and smart enough to complete her task?
Blossoms Of Sin
Book Synopsis:
During guard duty on a cool autumn night, a young soldier thinks about killing someone. He has his reasons and he has some thoughts about it. He may have already killed someone when he was younger, so would killing another person make any difference? Gerald Casey has grown from being one of those children who slip through the cracks, to the young soldier he is now. It was nobody’s fault really, just that he was overlooked by people who had other things on their minds. Now he has grown, joined the military, and found himself in a situation he cannot support. Gerald, or Jerry as he likes to be called, feels he has to make a life or death decision and he has very little experience to guide him. He has done things and had things done to him, that have given him a skewed perspective on life. Will that perspective be enough to guide him?
